3/3/2013 - Thirsty First Friday

...and what a night that was. Such a great way to end the first week of uni. A big thanks to everyone who got involved, I'm sure a great night was had by all.

But with all of that over it means only one thing...

Less than three weeks until Foam Party!

Three weeks, that's all that's left until the glasshouse becomes a bubble bath dance floor. If you want shenanigans, we've got it. So everyone get excited for our biggest event of the year. Tickets are going fast so be sure to get yours now!

2/28/2013 - Welcome to EngSoc 2013

Welcome.

To all of our new members, it is a great honor to have you here as a part of Engsoc. To returning members I would like to thank you for your continued support in EngSoc, and I hope that we can continue to deliver the great events we have in the past.

So here we are, another year, and what a year it has been already. 2013 has started with a bang with one of the greatest O-Camps in history. It was a fine example of shenanigans, so thank you everyone who participated.

Our website has also gone through some major renovations over the holidays so I hope you all like it.

This year will continue at full pace with only one day left before our first event, Thirsty First Friday, and only three weeks after that we have THE event of semester one, the Foam Party. I hope to see you all there.

Lets make 2013 a great year.

  • New flexible, super-strong umbrella

    Frustrated by an umbrella that was typically defeated by the elements, a designer teamed up with a mechanical engineer to develop a 100 percent recyclable umbrella. The entire umbrella is made from polypropylene, which is both lightweight and resistant to stress and chemical agents. Story courtesy of Wired.
